For 20 years, Jay Rimel served in the U.S. Army, where he worked mainly with a weapons of mass destruction emergency response unit. After his service, Rimel knew he wanted to take control of his destiny and become a successful business owner in his local community of Round Rock, Texas, just north of Austin. But it was about more than just making money — Rimel also wanted to find a way to stay connected to the military community and help Veterans transition back into civilian life. JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care, a new floor cleaning franchise from veteran-focused franchisor JDog Brands, was launched in 2019, just months before the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted nearly every sector. Still, despite 2020’s myriad challenges, JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care thrived, signing a whopping 17 franchise locations in its first two years. Now, the emerging brand is preparing to build on that momentum, with a goal of opening 10 new locations by the end of 2022.
